Sharepoint Online Deployment

Good morning,

Does anyone have tips on deploying a course to SharePoint Online? Our company recently moved from SharePoint 2010 to Online. In SharePoint 2010, we were able to upload as HTML files and launch with no issue. At my previous company, when we moved to SharePoint online, we converted the Lectora course files to .ASPX and added the HTML extension ASP. NET to the title level and all was well. However, with this move, converting to .ASPX isn't making a difference. Clicking on the index.aspx link (or copying/launching it) results in a Save-or-Download dialogue box.

Has anyone come across this issue recently? I'm on Lectora Version 18.2.1.

Note: I did find this topic, which is essentially the same issue, but with the move to SharePoint Online the solutions listed aren't working.

Why would you want to host the course in a non-LMS like SharePoint?

That said, SPO doesn't allow the developer or user nearly as much freedom or customizability. You might have to host the course elsewhere and just link to it from SPO. I've only just started developing for SharePoint (and I do not like it) but that's my impression.

Wow ... there are at least 4 SharePoint-based Learning Management Systems.

    I had no idea.

    Thanks Carl,

We do have an LMS for our primary learning opportunities, but we need to host certain trainings on a non-LMS platform for a business need that's over my head :)

I agree, SharePoint can be a pain. And every company has different settings and firewalls built in, so it's hard to know if issues that pop up are created by you, the company, or SharePoint itself!

I have a customer moving to SharePoint online. Amanda, did you have any success? If so, how did you get SharePoint to work?
