If you’ve worked with our Customer Success team before, then you know we love coming up with creative ways to use our current tools. In fact, just last week, we had the opportunity to utilize an ‘under-the-nose’ tool that helped one of our clients streamline their training process.
 
Background Info: The client has ‘in-person’ training, which is represented by Event Modules in the Rockstar Learning Platform. At the end of those training sessions, the client wants to give their students a link with additional information; however, they only want to give the link to those who RSVP’d for the Event.
 
First Thoughts: Give students the link physically at the in-person training. Another option would be to email them the link after class. Pretty simple, right?
 
Second Thoughts: It’d be better to keep everything in the same place so students don’t become overwhelmed or confused. What’s the best way to do that?
 
Solution: Under your nose the whole time! The Message feature is perfect for this. You can send individual messages, messages to selected users (such as those who RSVP’d in the above example), messages to an entire Enterprise, Office, or Learner Group.
 
What do my students see?
 
Users have a Notification Bell in the top right area of the page, which will show a red box with a number inside to indicate how many notifications they have. All they need to do is click on the Bell and they’ll be able to see all of their notifications, including messages from you! 
 
Please note that users are unable to reply to messages/notifications on RLP.
 
Conclusion: Using the Message feature made it really easy to share the link with the client’s students. The admin didn’t need to leave RLP to set it up, and the students knew exactly where to find it.
