Sensitive Content Disclaimer - I work for a funeral service group and this course discusses the process for performing a cremation. If this is a sensitive topic for you, please consider skipping the demo. All images are illustrations and content is very basic but I wanted folks to be aware of the topic since it is not a typical conversation or business topic.
Description: This course was developed for new Crematory Operators in order to give them practical application of what they learned during their individual training prior to working the crematory without supervision. We wanted to make sure they understood and could demonstrate the importance of their role, the process/paperwork/decision making required of the role, and how to problem-solve unique situations or potential problems BEFORE they occur in an actual situation.- Cartoon style
- Scenario-based - learner Guides a new crematory operator through the activities
- Interactive - learner has to turn dials/push buttons during the course
- Highlights common problems or struggles that Crematory Operator's face
- Feedback is realistic - not shown in the course but the FDIC provides positive and negative feedback in the form of a conversation and highlighting realistic consequences for actions

I appreciate you taking the time to look at my demo. It was fun to revisit this project, although I am bummed we never implemented it.
I'd love to get your feedback, I'm always looking to improve my skills and this was the first course of this level I've attempted to create. I value anything that helps me be a better designer and that I can use to help learners incorporate the behaviors we demonstrate into their daily work activities.
Thanks,
Amy

Hello-
Description:
• After teaching at a local community college for 20 years, I was approached by one of my international students about tornados. They wondered about how it worked as they missed the semesters drill. It dawned on me, that I had only participated in 1 tornado drill (and that was at another campus) during my 20 years.
• I had been wanting to try (and play) with CenarioVR (CVTR) and this was the perfect opportunity. Once I had a the CVR draft created, I approached the campus police and they loved the idea and wanted to see more.
RESULTS:
• Before the February 2020, 92 students had participated in our trial
o Only 4 of those students had participated in a tornado drill at the college
o 22 students replied yes that they would be able to give instructions to someone else on the accurate tornado evacuation
Of that number, 12 students gave incorrect directions/instructions
o 9 students said they might be able to give directions
o After the VR, 90 students said they would be able to evacuate themselves and give directions/instructions to someone in the case of a tornado
Link for Course:
What was done/details:
• Course is being built in Lectora v.19.0.3
o Includes still photos from the eLearning Brothers
o Includes 1 video from the eLearning Brothers
o Includes 1 Vyond animation video
o Includes 1 CenarioVR video consisting of 9 360 photos taken with Samsung Gear360
o Includes 1 audio file of official audio annoucement
o Includes 4 test questions that student must complete for data
Notes:
• This will have professional VO added, but work on this stopped with the pandemic
• The CenarioVR file has been updated (as there are some typos and such) but, my access isn’t quite working so this is the January version of the CVR
Thank you!
