Pop Up Notes Page

I want to be able to have a pop up notes page in my course. Essentially I want the student to be able to press a button (on theme graphics) that when you click it a pop up appears that you can write/copy paste in without leaving whatever page you are on. The notes page will need to be printable after the course has been taken. How can I make this work?

I was in the process of writing a lengthy how-to for this, when you posted that link. This is a fantastic guide Tim, well done and thanks for sharing it!

As an aside, is there a way to find resources like this that people have posted? I don't think I would have ever known this existed without your posting it.

Sure, just do a search. This has been talked about and created at least three times before that I remember.
