xAPI and Video Tracking

I'm new to xAPI in Lectora and have just started playing around with statements. In regards to an embedded video on a slide, how can you report when/where in a video a user stops/starts a video? For a video, actors are "on show," and "done playing," but how can I report other in depth details of how the user watches the video? Would this all be custom programming? I know I can remove the controller and add buttons for play/stop and pause and add statements to that, but then a user couldn't fast forward or rewind. I guess I'm trying to figure out the best way to track interactions with a video and what others have done. Any help is greatly appreciated. I haven't found much on the web about this within Lectora.
