The variable manager can help you see information like the name, which variables are being used, where they are at in the course, and their initial value. You can read up more in this article: http://community.trivantis.com/knowledge-base/lectora-basics-use-variable-manager/
I've heard people chatting on the site that you can capture and share variables either by printing or emailing them but I can't seem to find a thread with an example. One of the users who are more in depth with JS should come along and offer some help.
