Creating cookies or cookie variable in Lectora

Does anyone know if it's possible for a cookie variable be created in Lectora?
I'd like to know if a cookie variable can be created by clicking a button at the end of the course and that cookie would be something that indicates completion of the course or the module. Any kind of advice or help would be very much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Mark

I created a menu system Title in lectora and then I am launching a number of titles from that menu. The target titles will play differently based on selections made in the menu. I was going to create a cookie from the menu title and then read it from the target title. This was a planned method to have the ability to pass a variable assignment to the target titles.
I tried using the method listed above, but that did not appear to allow me to read the variable from the target title. . Is there any other way to pass variables between titles hosted on the same domain? I figured I would need to set the cookie and value using java script but I am not sure how that is done. Any ideas?
