Events not working on IE9

I'm a new user. I have finished my first course. My client has asked for text to appear synced with audio. I loaded the mp3 files, converted them to flash, and added events. I then used the events to hide and show the text boxes, images etc.
When published it worked fine for me on IE8. I sent my client the published html folder and she can run it, but the elements tied to the events do not display. The audio is there, as are any initially visible elements. Quizzes work fine.
Any idea how I can start to solve this?
