FLV file and SWF file as its controller

I just purchased the full version of Camtasia, so I could publish a FLV with the ability to turn on/off closed caption (no can do for Camtasia 7 that came with Lectora).
The problem is, it published 2 files; example.flv and example_controller.swf
Outside of Lectora, I can play the SWF just fine and can turn on/off closed caption.
Question is, how do I bring it into Lectora and have them communicate to each other?
I tried having them both auto start and make them in the same “images” root folder, didn’t work. I tried having the swf play the flv vice versa, didn’t work. Thank you all for any help.
