Save variable values externally to a text file

Hello all,



We need to create a course which will be deployed into a cd for a user. Course will be published into html format. Also user may not have internet connection. So I was wondering if it is possible to save variable values to a text/xml file and have that text file saved inside the published folder once they are done with the course.



Any help will be much appreciated.
