BIN vs XML

I noticed when publishing AICC, without choosing JavaScript title manager, Lectora generates BIN file while it generates XML if chosen.
XML has all the choices and right answers. If someone knows, he or she can just open XML to find all the answers in cache. The BIN looks gibberish when opened with a text editor. What is inside the BIN file? How does HTML files read BIN? Can we have similar security when publishing with JavaScript title manager?
