Screen reader (JAWS) not reading video player

I’m using the following:
Internet Explorer: 8.0.7600.16385
JAWS: 10.0.1178
Lectora Pro Pub Suite: vX.5 (8228)
And JAWS is not reading any of the buttons of the video player when published to HTML. I've tried it on a local desktop, as well as uploading onto a webserver.
Any ideas?
