Opening Powerpoint presentation in Microsoft Sharepoint

Have published a PowerPoint presentation as slide shows (.pps files) and uploaded in Microsoft Sharepoint. Now when I try to open the uploaded powerpoint presentation, it should just launch PowerPoint into the presentation. However, it's opening as a normal PowerPoint (.ppt) file which is ready for editing, not in presentation mode. Can you suggest a solution for this problem?
