Success status issue (SCORM 2004)

For SCORM 1.2, the AICC_Lesson_Status variable in Lectora is used for the cmi.core.lesson_status variable. For SCORM 2004, the AICC_Lesson_Status variable is used for the cmi.success_status variable and the completion status variable is CMI_Completion_Status.

As for it setting the value to failed, most likely it is the LMS setting that value to failed as Lectora will just set this value to unknown unless changed with an action in the course. Hope this helps.

hamish said:We have developed a course in Lectora and published it to SCORM 2004. On launching the course and exiting midway, the Success Status is set to Failed, when it should be Unknown. On viewing the detailed report, the variable cmi.success_status is Unknown. However, the variable (cmi.success_status) isn’t there in the Reserved tab of the Variable Manager in Lectora. The variable for the completion status—cmi.completion_status—is available in the variable manager of Lectora which we can modify. What variable name do we have to modify in Lectora to keep the cmi.success_status to ‘Unknown’. We've tested the course at www.scorm.com

@wheels .... you realize you responded to a 12-year-old message, right? :) In many fora, we call that "necroposting."

@carlfink I was frustrated because I was trying to look for the post I linked in here. During my search I found several unanswered, incorrect, or lessor posts that reasonably others would find as well. So I thought I would help direct them to an answer. You could say I'm Necroposting for the people! Maybe it would just be better to delete these orphaned posts if there are better ones available, I'm not sure of the etiquette. The topic is relevant today as we still have those confusing variables (hope to address soon).

Let me investigate and see if I can update the old posts without "re-posting" so they float to the top. Thank you for pointing this out to me!
