Using Lectora to create software simulation

 Can interactive Simulations be created via the screen camera function? or are they created with Screen capture with loads of images then built into a simulation using actions.

I am rebuilding a piece of software in Lectora. It is taking way more time then I expected but I am able to create something that is almost identical for facilitated learning/training and self-paced. The vendor said (a) it wasn't possible, or (b) it'd cost probably $300k+. So we went in house.

I did that back in the early 2000s in Flash. I was able to emulate the software were training people on with Flash in about 3 weeks. The actual developers had taken over 3 years ... I like to think they were jealous. (Obviously, I could skip enormous chunks of the real software, like accepting data from thousands of sensors and creating a coherent interface showing all that data.)

HAHA! I guess we're in the same boat then I previously created the simulation in Flash which was good, but now that Flash is gone as of 2 yrs ago, I am left rebuilding which isn't terrible either.

@gary40 This is a 13 year old question from our old forum. It was answered back then and turned into an 11 comment thread. Unfortunately, some of these really old discussion threads did not import properly into the Vanilla forum software now being used and look like orphaned comments with no answers. Here is a link to the other comments if you want to see some answers from 13 years ago.

A lot of software has been created and updated in the past 13 years. What is the question you would like to ask about your situation with your project in Lectora?
