Using Events and Video/Audio

Hi everyone!

At the LUC there was a lot of talk about using events to edit video so that at some point during the video if you want a question to appear on the screen or something like that you could make that happen. Same with audio. I am really struggling with this. Can someone please help me understand how to use events and make this happen with a video clip?
