508 for Dummies?

Hi,I am in the beginning phases of developing a course for the automotive industry, and we curently have no mandate to make it 508 compliant. BUT! I'm just waiting for a heckler in the first row at one of our meetings to ask the $64K "why not 508?" question.So, the course (at this point) consists primarily of narrated lessons with sequenced events. It has show/hide actions, which I guess are a rub for 508. Since we plan on having a text/print version of each lesson, does that help me out? I'm just trying to get a handle on this topic, which I know basically nothing about. Thanks in advance.
