Job Summary: The Course Developer is responsible for the creation of online and offline courseware for our clients.This is a full-time position located in New Jersey. This position reports to the Manager of Learning and Development/Production. Direct Reports: NoneResponsibilities: •     Develop, edit, support, deploy, and maintain online training modules in multiple languages (when provided with the appropriate translated files.)•     Create and edit online training materials using Flash, DHTML, CSS, Photoshop and high-level elearning authoring tools.•     Create online sales demos for potential clients using their online branding and style.•     Assist in creating and managing client-branded websites (portals.)•     Manage quality assurance on all online modules, sales demos, source documents, and portals (including content, consistency, functionality, and branding. •     Maintain and update course content (both online and in master documents).•     Coordinate production deliverables with clients, third-party vendors and resellers.•     Perform additional duties as needed.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:•     Demonstrated work experience with at least one high-level elearning development tool (e.g. Lectora, Flash, Articulate suite or equivalent)•     Intermediate to expert knowledge of elearning graphic design and media production concepts to ensure they are consistently and appropriately applied in client engagements.•     Intermediate to expert knowledge of Web technologies (including DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, Photoshop and optionally XML) to accurately suggest and use the appropriate technology for our products. •     Intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.•     Basic to intermediate knowledge of other Microsoft Office products.•     Intermediate to expert knowledge of browser / client specific compatibility issues.•     Able to meet tight deadlines with consistently high-quality work.•     Very strong written and verbal communication skills•     Communicates issues openly, efficiently, respectfully, and tactfully.•     Able to collaborate with writers, sales, production, and clients on course development.•     Able to organize time, manage changing priorities and diverse activities, and meet deadlines under pressure.•     Shows respect and concern for other employees.•     Acknowledges and appreciates each team member's contributions.•     Motivated to do what it takes to get the job done, within legal and ethical boundaries.Credentials and Experience:•     Bachelor’s degree in a related field and •     4-7 years related experience OR•     Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. •     Strong elearning design and development portfolio (candidate will be asked to provide links to work samples)Working Conditions/Physical Demands:•     Work requires minor physical exertion and/or physical strain (example: light office work.)•     The candidate must be able to sit at a desk in front of a computer for extended periods of time and perform extensive typing•     Eyesight required for the ability to view graphics and print on a computer screen and/or paper documents for an extended period of time.•     Requires the ability to speak and hear to exchange information with customers by telephoneCompensation and Benefits includes:•     Compensation varies based on experience•     401K Employer Matching Program (Immediately Vested) •     Generous Medical and Dental Insurance Plans •     Life and Disability Insurance Plan - Company SponsoredApply Now!To apply, email your resume and cover letter to: [email protected] •     Candidates should be prepared to provide relevant work samples upon request. •     All candidates must submit to a reference and background check. •     This is a direct hire position; third parties need not apply.•     Must be authorized to work full-time in the United States for any employer.•     No phone calls and local candidates only, please.
