Menu Assistance needed

I have created a menu with sub items. Is there any way to make the sub items available in the menu by clicking instead of automatically showing when the mouse rolls over the menu? This is quite a distraction to the learner when the menu pops up in the middle of a lesson.Thanks. Monica
