For video I was using Windows MovieMaker and it was okay for a free product but bought Adobe Premiere Elements 3.0. I think it's a decent program. It was less than $100 but gives me, a novice video editor, the tools I need to get the job done. Has nice transitions, good cropping tools, text tools, etc. I do need a faster computer to run it as I can't do any other work when it's up and running, but until the new computer comes I plan accordingly and shut everything else down. It has good options for exporting the files, including to flv.I'm curious if there are any good open source video editing tools out there as I've not searched much for them.
