Probably beyond a non-technical user. The way you would do it would be to use a second variable. If on, the timer runs. Have a button that sets it off. Then one of the actions in the timer stops and the timer would stop. To start it again, have a button that starts the timer but does not initialize the variable and also sets the new variable. benProbably beyond a non-technical user.
