Field Entry // Retain Values

Hello,   I have a field entry box that is for Student Name that is set to retain the value for bookmarking purposes. I want to be able to enter data in that field, exit the course, go back in and have that field entry appear blank but not lose the retain value. Is there a way to have Student Name field appear blank when the user comes back the page? I want the option of the field entry to be blank so that new users must enter their own name and can not logon as the previous user.     Any ideas?        Thanks,        Nicole
