This is a known bug with the Windows Media Player plug-in within the IE (same problem for audio files.) When the on click action takes focus, IE stops the content playing within the Windows Media Player plug-in. We have tried various ways of working around this, however, the work around would cause the content to no longer be 508 compliant for screen readers. We are waiting for Microsoft to fix the issue. In the meantime, if you encode the content using a format not played natively in the Windows Media Player such as RealAudio or Quicktime it should correct the issue.
